Your feedback on the Initial Designs and next steps

What did you tell us about the Initial Designs?

Since we closed the consultation on the Initial Designs for Ashgrove Connects, we have been busy analysing all your feedback, using this to refine the design and seeking approval to progress the project to the next stage.

This news post will update you on the feedback we received and outline the next steps for the project.

Initial Designs

Thank you to everyone who took the time to view, engage in discussions and respond to the Initial Designs. We presented these as ideas, responding to local priorities identified during the first stage of the project, to understand what you liked and what you would change or combine before developing this further.

What you told us

We have now analysed all the feedback we received through surveys and activities held during June and July. You can read about the findings here.

The feedback we received from the community and stakeholders on the Initial Designs has helped to develop a Concept Design for the project. As part of the next stage of the project, this Concept Design will be developed further.

Next steps

Following completion of Stages 1 and 2, the project was recently presented at Aberdeen City Council’s City Growth and Resources Committee. At the Committee meeting, the project was approved to proceed to the next stage of development. You can read more about this here.

Following approval, an application will now be made for further funding to develop the project in more detail. This will include further opportunities for the community and stakeholders to view and feedback on the design as it develops in more detail.

Until funding has been secured for the next stages, there will be minimal progress made on the project. Further updates will continue to be communicated through this website once funding has been secured for the next stages. Please make sure to sign up to receive latest news on the top right of this page.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the project so far. Your involvement has been vital to the progress made and we look forward to the developing the project further once funding has been secured.
