Ashgrove Connects

Milestones

An indicative timeline of the key project stages is outlined below. Please be aware, delivery dates are indicative and are subject to change. Aberdeen City Council has employed a consultant, Atkins, to work with the local community to deliver the initial stages of the project.
  • Stage 1: Define

    March 2022

    -

    April 2022

During this stage, we want you to share your experiences of using the streets. This will help us to define priorities and establish objectives that the project would seek to achieve. We will also investigate current activity and constraints along the streets through surveys.
  • Stage 2: Develop

    Summer 2022

    -

    Autumn 2022

During this stage, we will use the responses and data collected so far to seek your feedback on objectives and initial design options. This will help us to steer the development of a concept design alongside further technical assessments to be undertaken.
  • Stage 3: Design

Please be aware that progression to this stage will be subject to approvals being made and appropriate funding being available. During this stage, we will use your feedback and outcomes of the technical assessments to present a concept design. This will help us to further refine the design in line with the community’s needs as well as determine what can practically be delivered on the ground.
  • Stage 4: Detail

Please be aware that progression to this stage will be subject to approvals being made and appropriate funding being available. During this stage, we will prepare all required drawings and information to enable the project to be delivered on the ground. We will look to acquire funding and a suitable contractor to deliver the project.
  • Stage 5: Deliver

Please be aware that progression to this stage will be subject to approvals being made and appropriate funding being available. During this stage, we will work alongside the appointed contractor, community, and stakeholders to deliver the project on the ground and ensure construction is managed to minimise any disruption.
